THERE IS MORE TO YOU
A 2-hour online workshop for professional women in midlife
You've spent years being sensible. What if the ideas you keep talking yourself out of finally deserve a proper hearing?
In this playful, body-based workshop we’ll explore the ideas and possibilities for your work and life that you keep pushing aside.
We'll get out of our heads, get creative and tap into the wisdom of our bodies. And you'll leave with a plan for taking the first steps towards bringing one of your ideas to life.

What's the thing you keep daydreaming about, but then immediately dismiss?
Because it is too late, too silly, too selfish, or too risky?
Perhaps you've caught yourself wondering what it would be like to…
Take a sabbatical.
Retrain in something you've secretly been fascinated by for years.
Ask for the bigger role.
Or admit you don’t really want the role you’re expected to go for next.
Maybe you have always wanted to write a book.
Travel alone.
Work less.
Make beautiful things with your hands.
Have an adventure nobody else quite understands.
Start the business you have been secretly dreaming of for the past 10 years.....
Or perhaps you don't have a plan at all.
You just have a growing sense that there is so much more to you than the woman you've been so far. A freer, wilder, more joyful version of you that doesn't get enough space in your everyday life.
And you wonder what might become possible if you finally gave her more space and started listening to what she wants.
I ignored that part of me for way too long. I knew she was there and I knew she was powerful. But she didn’t fit the identity I’d spent years building.
She showed up more loudly in times and places where I felt more free, where I could be more myself. But once I went back to my day-to-day life and work, she was silenced again. I was scared to let her out.
Until I realised I was even more scared of reaching the end of my life without ever allowing her to fully live. And I started listening.

Most of us are very good at being sensible
We think about what is realistic, what other people need, what we can afford, what is acceptable at this stage of life. We always have reasons for not trying something. We can dismiss an idea or a feeling almost as quickly as it appears.
What if you got out of your head for a change?
What might happen if, just for a couple of hours, you didn’t dismiss your ideas and desires?
What if you gave those ideas and desires the space and consideration they deserve before deciding whether they are realistic?
This is not your average midlife crossroads
workshop.
We won’t just sit, think and plan.
Things might get a little uncomfortable. They might even get a little weird (ideally!).
We will move, play, use our imagination, experiment and yes, we’ll get a bit wild. We may jump around the room one minute and lie on the floor listening to what your body has to say the next. We’ll take up more space than we may normally allow ourselves.
As this is an online workshop, you will need a bit of floor space and comfy clothes. You also always have the option to be off camera during some of the exercises, if it feels better or safer for you.
You’ll have the opportunity to put your sensible side on hold and give your freer, wilder side a voice. And to explore what you want when you stop immediately dismissing what’s possible.
We’ll use creative exploration and powerful somatic practices. ‘This means working with and through the body, paying attention to what you feel and experience as you explore different possibilities. What draws you? What makes you contract or open up? What energises you and what drains your energy? What gives you excitement and a sense of being more alive?
You don't need to arrive knowing what you want. You just need to give yourself permission to be open to possibilities and to your dreams.

What we'll explore
We'll use a combination of powerful somatic practices and creative exercises to help you:
-
Put your sensible, responsible self to one side for a while
-
Connect with your freer, wilder side and experience how she feels in your body
-
Explore the ideas, desires or possibilities that emerge when you give her more airtime, without immediately dismissing them
-
Choose one idea or possibility you want to give a real chance to, and explore how you can start to make it happen.
What you'll leave with
A different perspective on what’s possible for you, having experienced what happens when you give your desires
some space instead of immediately questioning whether they're realistic
A possibility you are excited to explore further. This might be an idea you've been putting aside for years, or something new that's emerged during the workshop
Your own 'My little map forward': a take-away card capturing what you are ready to explore, the qualities you will need to embody to move forward, the commitment you make to yourself, and the first steps that will help ypu move forward.
The first three people to book will receive a free 30-minute 1:1 follow-up session with me.
Two hours won’t change your whole life. But what they can do is change how you look at what is possible for you, give your ideas and desires the attention they deserve, and help you start doing something about them.
Who this is for
This workshop is for professional women in midlife who have spent years building their careers, taking responsibility and doing what needs to be done, but increasingly feel the pull towards something more – either personally, in their career, or both.
You may know exactly what that “more” is and keep talking yourself out of it.
Or you may have no idea what it is yet.
You have probably spent a lot of time thinking about this. Likely overthinking it.
You may have created list after list with ideas and pros and cons. You may have read books and done courses to help you figure this out.
But you are still struggling to create the change you really want in your life.
That doesn’t mean that change isn’t possible. It means you have to approach things in a different way.

Who I am
I’m Anna, a certified somatic coach and yoga teacher.
Before doing this work, I spent 28 years in advertising as a strategist.
For at least the last 15 years (or more!) of my corporate career I had a growing sense that there was more to me than the woman I had been so far - a freer, bolder, crazier and more powerful part of me that I hadn't yet given enough space to.
My own journey eventually led me to somatic coaching, and to discovering the power of working through the body.
We spend so much of our lives trying to understand ourselves through thinking. But our experiences and the ways we've learnt to adapt to the world also live in our bodies: in how we hold ourselves, what we instinctively move towards or away from, what makes us contract and what makes us feel more alive.
That’s why my work brings together the body, reflection and creative exploration. It helps us access parts of ourselves that thinking alone doesn't always reach and discover what might become possible when we give them more space.
